Batch Find & Replace is a desktop app that scans every file in a folder — including subfolders — for a word or phrase you're looking for, then lets you replace it everywhere with a single click. Available for Mac and Windows.
Just pick a folder and type what you want to find; the app scans hundreds of files in seconds and lists every match. Use "Search Only" if you just want to search, or "Replace All" to update the files.
It automatically detects and reads files saved in different character encodings (UTF-8, Windows-1254, ISO Latin1, macOS Roman, UTF-16), then saves each file back in its original encoding after the change — so Turkish characters and other special-language text stay intact.
Click any file in the results list and it opens automatically in the app you've previously chosen for that file type. The first time, it asks which app to use and remembers your choice — you can reset that memory anytime with one click.
